Wildlife Viewing:
Though not a big five destination, Hell’s Gate is home to plenty of wildlife such as African buffalo, zebra, eland, hartebeest, Thomson’s gazelle and baboons, giraffe. The park is also home to klipspringer antelope and Chandler’s mountain reedbuck. Predators like the cheetah, hyena or serval aren’t easy to spot.
Prolific Birdlife:
With more than 100 species recorded, Hell’s Gate offers an amazing bird watching all through the year. Once a popular breeding place for lammergeyers, its cliffs are now a tranquil abode to nesting raptors including the Egyptian and Rüppell’s vultures, Verreaux’s Eagles, augur buzzard and swifts.
