Elsamere Conservation Centre
Located at the shores of Lake Naivasha, Elsamere Conservation Centre features a wide array of wildlife and birdlife. Elsamere was formerly home to Joy and George Adamson who are committed to wildlife conservation. The conservation centre features a small museum where you can learn more about the lake ecology here.
Crater Lake Game Sanctuary
This is a small private sanctuary situated around a volcanic crater lake surrounded by forests and plains with a variety of wildlife. You can watch the birds or go for nature walks at the Crater Lake Game Sanctuary.
Crescent Island
This is a wildlife sanctuary that offers an opportunity to walk with animals and enjoy a boat safari. There are no predators in the island sanctuary; you will see animals like giraffes, zebras and wildebeest.
Lake Oloiden
Lake Oloiden is a volcanic crater lake popularly known for its impressive flock of flamingos. You can also take a boat ride on the lake.
Hells Gate
The nearby Hell’s Gate National Park is well worth a visit, to see its spectacular canyons, hot springs and wildlife, as is Born Free author Joy Adamson’s house.
