Important information for passengers
A privately held group of general aviation companies, Aberdair, was originated in the year 2002. With a pan-African client base, Aberdair’s focus has always been on providing high-quality and secured services.
While this aviation company has its Headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya, its affiliated operators are located in Uganda, Tanzania, and Liberia. Having its Air Operator Certificates (AOC’s) with the bases South Sudan, Kenya and Ghana, the aviation company is able to offer customised aviation services to a range of clients from these destinations. Some of Aberdair’s most prominent clients include mining, gas and oil companies; aid and humanitarian agencies including UN; and security, diplomatic and government missions. Besides this, it also offers its services for VIP, tourism and emergency requirements.
Aberdair offers its aircraft to its clients in two ways- turn-key contract and charter basis. The charter or ad-hoc solution is used for carrying out activities like aerial surveys, sightseeing, medical evacuations, and filming. The aircraft available on an ad hoc basis operate from bases like Monrovia, Nairobi, Accra, and Entebbe.
Although the company’s flight offerings on charter basis are quite popular, its prime focus is on providing contract based solutions. On a contract basis, clients do not just have access to the hired aircraft but are also provided with a crew, maintenance and insurance facilities under a scheme called ACMI.
And not just operation and maintenance of aircraft, Aberdair is also engaged in a host of other things like consultancy services- having everything starting from aviation training, aircraft sales and aircraft spare parts supply to ground support equipment in its stride.
