A look inside Auric Air
‘Auric’ – an adjective relating to the aura that surrounds living creatures and all of us. This airline has that personal touch and a deep understanding of what it takes to deliver the service you deserve.
Auric Air operates out of the 3 main logistics hubs in Tanzania; being Dar es Salaam, Mwanza (head office) and Arusha. This makes it one of the preferred corporate and safari airlines in Tanzania.
Auric Air invests in new routes and planes, ensuring that you can reach the destinations that provide memories that will last a lifetime. They are also one of the most popular airlines for business people in the region and was awarded Tanzania’s leading Domestic Safari Carrier at 2016 World Travel Awards.

COVID -19 AURIC AIR’S SAFETY PROCEDURES
Required masks and physical distance: Passengers are required to have masks on from airport entrance until arrival at destination. We do not allow check-in and boarding without a mask. All passengers are notified to maintain adequate physical distance between each other.
Frequent sanitization of passengers and passenger areas: Hand sanitizers are provided for passengers and staff use, during check-in and during boarding. Auric Air passenger areas such as the Auric Air lounge, Check-In Counters, Shuttle vehicles, and seats are also sanitized for everyone’s safety.
Self check-in and no-touch boarding: We have begun encouraging online check-in to eliminate contact. Guests are highly encouraged to check-in online to minimize proximity to our check-in agents. Those with no bags can head straight to the gate at the time of boarding, i.e. 20 minutes before the departure time. Have boarding passes ready for scanning by our boarding gate agents. Those with baggage can drop it off at the designated spot and collect the tags from our check-in agent. Please note that the bag drop counters will close 20 minutes before flights, to allow enough time for staggered boarding procedures. Physical distancing must be followed.
Extensive aircraft disinfection: Our daily disinfection program includes the misting of the aircraft cabin, using an effective virucide. This process ensures that all surfaces (such as passenger seats, and cargo compartments) are covered and sanitised.
Creations of awareness: We have issued multiple memos to create awareness of the situation within our crew and staff. These memos provide guidance and avoidance strategies. We have developed small briefing cards that are available on our aircraft educating the passengers on COVID-19.
Self-assessment checklists: We developed assessment checklists that all passengers have to fill before being allowed to board. In a case where a passenger doesn’t meet the required score, the local health authorities are notified immediately. (see attached samples)
