Important information for passengers

All of Safarilink flights operate on a daily basis except for the Laikipia to Mara direct flight route, which don’t operate between April 1st to June 15th and November 1st to December 15th. Passengers can, however, go via Wilson Airport and catch a connecting flight to Mara.

Reconfirmation of flights isn’t needed although it is recommended that it is done. Should a passenger miss their flight due to an international flight being delayed they can transfer their booking onto the next available flight at a fee of 50 USD per passenger.

Baggage Allowance

  • Total Baggage weight is limited to a soft bag of up to 15kg which includes carry-on luggage and cameras.
  • A leeway of 2kg is used but anything over will be up to the captain to decide depending on the weight of the flight and the relative space and weight parameters that are set to the plane.
  • Passengers with significant excess baggage are recommended to book another “freight” seat which will be charged at a Child’s fare. This allows for an extra 7.5kg of baggage.

Flying with Children

  • Children between the age of 2 and 12 fly at a 30% discount to that of the adult fare.
  • Infants under the age of 2 fly for free, provided they aren’t taking up a seat

Cabin Classes available

One cabin class is available for all passengers. Planes are much smaller than commercial liners as they need to accommodate airstrips in bush/safari locations. The good news is flights are not long and every seat give you access to the best views of the flight!

Where we fly to:

Safarilink flies to over 22 destinations daily. They cover many of the best safari destinations within Kenya as well as crossing over into the Northern territory of Tanzania to make sure that you have some of the best options at hand.

Many of the safari flight companies fly a ‘scheduled circuit’ within and between the primary bush destinations and the airstrips servicing those locations. This gives rise to a booked or scheduled  ‘bus’ type service, where the aircraft will set down at a given location if a passenger is booked to disembark at that destination. This makes for adventurous and fun flying – and can be compared to the likes of a bus in the sky
