The flight distance from Dar es Salaam to Arusha is 470 kilometres (291 miles). Depending on the type of aircraft that you will fly with, the flight time will take anywhere from 1 hour 40 minutes to 2 hours.
Your flight out will start off from Julius K. Nyerere (DAR) International Airport (Terminal 1) which is located on the outskirts of Dar es Salaam City. The nose of the aircraft will then point North of North West towards the mountains of Northern Tanzania, where the “Geneva of Africa”, Arusha is located.

The terrain will dramatically change from the coastal plateaus and plains through the Eastern Arc mountains, to the North, you will be able to catch a glimpse of the imposing Mt Kilimanjaro rising in majesty against the Maasai Steppe.
