Distance and Flight Time

While you move closer to the north you’ll travel past the East Usambara Mountain and the Mkomazi National park before you fly over Moshi and finally descend at the base of mountain Kilimanjaro.

Once landed at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you proceed through Immigration and collect your bags and go to the exit to meet your transfer. If you do not have a pre-arranged transfer.
Upon leaving the airport you will see that there is no shortage of travel alternatives when leaving the airport with a range of rental car agencies, cabs, buses & shuttles all just a call away. Kilimanjaro Airport is located approximately 40kms from Arusha and 30kms from Moshi Town, which is the start point for any Kilimanjaro Climb. It takes about an hour and a half to drive to Arusha and Moshi is under an hour.
Seronera airstrip is located in the North of the reserve, close to the Kenyan border.
