Distance and Flight Time

The average flying distance from Serengeti Seronera to Dar es Salaam is over to 685 km and will take you around 2 hours and 15 minutes from the airport to airport. Ask the pilot to point out the world famous Ngorongoro Crater, whose plains 700 meters below the crater rim teem with wildlife.

As aircraft servicing bush destinations do not fly nearly as high as big jets, you’ll feel that you’ve never lost touch with the ground below. This is an opportunity to watch the plains go by, see villages and settlements seamlessly integrated with the surrounding bush.

Approaching Dar from the north-west, your pilot will soon be having your approach to the sprawling coastal commercial capital lined up for landing at Terminal 1. Collect your bags inside the terminal. Should you be catching an international connection, transfer by taxi/shuttle to Terminal 2, the international departures terminal. This is a short (less than 2 km) ride and it is strongly recommended that you do not walk between the terminals.
